That's really a quote with the names replaced from one of my visiting teachers way back when. He knows you'll do a great job and show forth so much love. <br />:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7137849954899563968.post-46044352789374955752016-11-15T09:12:41.232-08:002016-11-15T09:12:41.232-08:00Thank you for sharing your story. We're working on that, especially with our youngest as he struggles, right now.House of Geekinesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18262877421195475343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7137849954899563968.post-20405685785481499902016-11-08T13:10:19.772-08:002016-11-08T13:10:19.772-08:00Wow I'm practically in tears. Your story is so...Wow I'm practically in tears. Your story is so touching. My son is on the spectrum and I struggled deeply alone as i knew something was different with my child and had no support having assessments, specail school and speech and physical theraphy. To have understanding allows acceptance. My son continuously teaches me and test me. As he is high functioning most people don't get it or understand his needs as he can seem just fine or so quite that he didn't stand out. I struggled for so long spent countless hours in libraries reading, and just trying to understand how to get our household back on track in a way that would to support and make him feel safe and understood. This year he had even had new stemming habits and challenges and we are having to not be frustrated, or thrown off but understanding and remind ourselves this too is part of his character. This year as he's now 8 is the first time we ever even told him he has autism as we didn't want him to think of himself as anything less then capable strong and unique. Thank you for sharing!
